With 36 years of age, he has more than 10 years of experience in various Forestry Industry areas and sectors, where he was able to see the potential of wood varieties in Bolivia. “I noticed the inefficiency and waste in discarded wooden goods or pieces, that's why I decided to invest time and effort in them. The necessary time, effort and creativity to turn them into authentic works of art, developing a brand committed to quality, environmental preservation, and social responsibility through multiple internal projects and strategic alliances in CSR”, he tells us confident of the positive contribution he is making through business ventures such as this. “Getting involved in wood processes, from the input point of wood being treated as raw material to the finishing touches as a final product. This was my greatest opportunity to contribute to this project, from a [wood products] producer’s perspective, responding to demand in a competitive market that values quality and environmental commitment” he relates when recounting the opportunities he had in life that he was able to capitalize on and when asked about his challenges he talks about the “Informality and lack of information about our natural resources’ management. Getting started in this field is not limited to having an aesthetic vision or work ethic. An in-depth knowledge of each [wood] species and how to treat it is essential in order to highlight its benefits and end up with products that hold to a top-grade industry standard”. On the medium term he is focused on marketing and promoting, at an international level, the top-grade wood finishing that embody each his company’s finished wooden products. And, on the long term, he wants to promote talent in this sector, with innovative products that preserve our collective national ethos. And to wrap up, he advises young people to start where they are. Do the best you can with what you already have, and you will see how a path opens up for you.
